TongueTied hits the streets
By Rose · June 26, 2026
If you happen to have crossed Boston Public Garden recently or stopped for Currywurst in Munich's Glockenbachviertel, you may have spotted TongueTied doing some guerilla marketing – or more accurately, guerilla market research.
What's emerged is enthusiasm and curiosity about TongueTied generally, and especially the shorter TongueTied Challenges we've used in these interactions: the Scramble, which many of you have already played by now, and the Sweep, in which players have 60 seconds to find a way to play all the letters in their rack. Let us know if you'd like access to this one, too – or to other short games with TongueTied twists.
At a time when borders are hardening and people are being told to keep to their own small plot, it's a joy to encounter individuals who take pleasure in the world's variety and pride in their (even fledgling) multilingualism. You can experience some of this by watching our videos – on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. As with the game itself, please feel free to share the videos, spreading the feeling around.
